Warm Pasifika Greetings!

Charis Youth and Community is an innovative for-impact (not-for-profit) organisation whose vision is to see young people in their element, serving and leading the way. Our mission is to innovate mediums of inspiration, impact and influence that bolster Pasifika young people to lead in their area of gifting.

Charis is underpinned by our shared Pasifika values of Family, Faith and Serve and is proud to be an organisation that is by Pasifika, with and for Pasifika peoples.

Charis Youth and Community acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, live and serve - the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture - sovereignty was never ceded.

Village Response Plan

The Village Response Plan (VRP) is a grassroots community response to reducing recidivism. In June of 2020 a violent attack on youth in Brimabank Victoria, brought the community together to implement a strategy that prioritised the safety and wellbeing of our young people families and communities.

Tupulaga Pasifika

Tupulaga Pasifika: A profile of Pasifika Young People in Brimbank is a report published in 2019 written to document the strengths, aspirations and needs of Pasifika young people living in Brimbank.

This report came out of a recommendation under the Brimbank Pasifika Network, to better understand the landscape of Pasifika young people. Tupulaga Pasifika adds to the much needed body of research to better inform and guide working with our communities.

Tupulaga Pasifika was proudly researched by Pasifika for Pasifika and incorporated our own methodologies and frameworks.
